Elizabeth Torbit — Founding Principal

As a kid, Elizabeth could be found crafting scotch tape and paper furniture for her Barbie townhouse or sketching floor plans inspired by her favorite TV shows—early signs of a lifelong fascination with spatial storytelling. After earning a degree in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, she began her creative career as a set decorator at Pixar Animation Studios, contributing to the richly imagined worlds of Monsters Inc. and The Incredibles.

Her design practice evolved through textile and domestic product design, eventually bringing her full circle to what she loves most: shaping real spaces that elevate daily living. Today, Elizabeth creates tailored interiors for clients in the Bay Area and beyond, known for her ability to curate interior spaces with an intuitive sense of comfort and warmth.

She approaches each project as a collaboration—translating her clients’ sensibilities into a visual language for their spaces that feel grounded and refined.

Kairsten Wydra — Head of Studio, Seattle

Kairsten is a multidisciplinary designer with a deep-rooted passion for detail and material integrity. Raised in a coastal Maine town by artisan parents, she developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship and quality; these values continue to inform her work today.

She studied Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design, a foundation that shaped her nuanced approach to interiors and home textiles. With over two decades of experience, her practice bridges function and feeling, drawing on a sensitivity to both the architecture of a space and the people who inhabit it.

Kairsten’s work is characterized by layered compositions that reflect the individuality of each client and the spirit of each home. Her interiors unfold through thoughtful combinations of eras, materials, and personal narrative creating spaces that are both grounded and enduring, designed to bring people together over time.
