Northern California Beach House

Set against the raw backdrop of the Northern California coast, this 1960s beach retreat was given a restrained and resonant update. The design process focused on preserving the home's architectural simplicity while introducing a quiet material richness through vintage and contemporary elements. Original features were retained where possible, while subtle interventions aligned the home with current codes and modern-day livability. The result is an open-plan, 900-square-foot residence that remains rooted in its coastal vernacular.
